In GMWIN connect to the PLC, you must first define two choices :

1. Connection Method

2. Depth of Connection in connection choices.

There are four different methods of connection:

1.Using the RS-232C.

2. MODEM

3. Communication modules (GLOFA Fnet / Mnet for PCs) and

4. Network (Ethernet),

There are three different depth of connections that is:

1. Local

2. Remote 1 and

3. Remote 2.

If you are using Windows 3.x operating system, then do not support how to connect using the communication module and

Network.

Step for connection setting : Select ' Connect' option in the menu Project - Option.

How to use the RS-232C Connection

To use RS-232C connection, connect RS-232 cable with a PC serial port and serial port PLC.

◆ On the Project menu, choose Options.

◆ Select Option Connect tab in the Options dialog box.

◆ Select the method RS-232C connection.

◆ Select the Communication Port.

◆ Choose Depth of Connection and click the OK button.

Setting for Local Connection

◆ Select the Depth of Local Connection and click the OK button.

◆ Connect Options on the menu Online

How to Remote Connection

◆ Open Network Type list and choose the type of network.

◆ Type in a station number Station No. Box.

◆ Select the slot number.

◆ Click the OK button.

◆ Select Connect to the Online Menu.
