Making your self tachometer based on LM2907 /LM2917

Dear allhand
After i make F-V converter with LM331 , now i wanna make this converter with more dedicated IC the LM2709 ic, below is the pic

Even this circuit maybe just stright forward from application note but we must make sure that pulses fom rotary encoder fall beyond treshold voltage in pin 11.

    I agree with your opinion. you just did an amazing job presenting it in a simple and clear manner. I have no experience in searching applications, but there is an app which i would think once and use it. "Tachometer App for iOS" is great enough to provide meaningful RPM results.

    Thanks for the circuit diagram. What is the maximum differential voltage on Tacho+ and Tacho- pins??
